The day concluded with a workshop for pupils in which a competition was held to see who could construct the most efficient mini wind turbines in the DT department.
The Hawk Conservancy Trust gave a talk on vital vultures in our environment
James O’Hanlon from Dauntsey’s said: “We were thrilled to receive a message of support from Hugh for our ‘Big Green Day’. Environmental issues are high on our agenda at Dauntsey’s and ‘The Big Green Thing’ society puts a lot of time and effort into creating campaigns which highlight green issues and encourage others to become more aware of their impact on the environment.
“The speakers at ‘A Big Green Day’ were both thought-provoking and entertaining and have given us further impetus to continue to campaign on environmental issues.”
