On the 7th June 2017, Salford Professional Development are hosting the Innovations in Education Conference 2017 which will be taking place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London. The conference will feature leading experts from education technology, looking at how the latest technology can help engage pupils, enhance the classroom experience, and encourage new innovative approaches to teaching.

The Conference will give delegates great insights into the latest emerging technology in education, as well as identifying how our school budgets facilitate the use of this technology. In addition to this, the conference will highlight the future projections for innovative technology across the education sector and identify the ways in which the public and private sector can collaborate.

Throughout the day, delegates will expect to learn how the latest technologies will be able to increase our pupil attainment, as well as identifying how innovative education can help popularise alternative approaches to education. With our youth more tech minded than ever, innovative education approaches will be the key to future success. It is not only the pupils that will gain a benefit from education technology, teacher’s skill sets will also hugely benefit. The conference will show how these skill sets will be improved through innovations in education.

Budgets are a huge factor in how many school, and what latest technologies schools can afford to implement. While the benefits of implementation are obvious, the way to facilitate this within school budgets is not so obvious. At this conference experts will show how it is possible to facilitate the use of education technology while still staying within the school budgets.

Key speakers at the conference will include, Dr Niall Winters. Associate Professor of Learning and New Technologies at the department of education, University of Oxford. James Leonard, Educational Regional Manager at Google. Natalie Burgess, Teaching Ambassador at Microsoft. Professor Jane Reeves, Professor of Teaching, Learning and Innovation in Child Protection, University of Kent, also co-director of the Centre for Child Protection & Director of Studies for the MA in Advanced Child Protection. James Toner, Head of the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning, kings College London.
