All aboard the betty bus at the Festival of Education
Say hello to the betty team at the Festival of Education, and sign up for a chance to win a visit from the betty bus to your school
Betty for schools is a free, PSHE curriculum-linked period education programme for teachers of 8-12 year olds, and aims to create a generation of both boys and girls who feel truly at ease talking about periods.
The online interactive resources have been designed by betty, together with education experts and young people, to encourage open and honest conversations about periods and the way they affect girls.
Schools all over the UK can request visits from the exclusive betty bus, where trained facilitators deliver immersive one hour sessions which help girls understand what happens to their bodies as they grow up, deal with their periods and the roller-coaster of emotions that come with them. Whilst the girls are on-board the bus, the boys get to experience a separate workshop focusing on empathy and understanding what girls experience during their period, and how to support them.
