Cheadle Hulme School junior pupil pens original play
Year four Cheadle Hulme School pupil, Zach Foster, sees his work go from page to stage after the performance of his play
Zach Foster wrote his short play, Small and the Christmas Plan, for children in 2013 – when he was just eight years old. This year, he was finally able to watch it come to life in a performance by fellow Junior School pupils at the leading independent school.
With guidance from Junior School teacher and veteran thespian, Ms Rani Chakrabarti, Zach was able to perfect his script for the stage last Autumn, auditioning for a part as an actor in the show with his classmates.
Over 20 pupils from years three to six were cast in the play, which premiered to an audience of parents and friends in May.
Ms Chakrabarti said: “The young cast were very excited and worked hard to make it a night to remember, especially for Zach!”
