Cothill House to introduce gentle boarding transition

Cothill Juniors will offer pupils in Years 4 and 5 the chance to go home for two nights at the weekend

Cothill Juniors is set to offer boys in Years 4 and 5 a gentle transition into boarding education. From September 2020, Saturdays will see younger boys free to go home upon completion of their school commitments, returning on Sunday evening or Monday morning.

From the beginning of Year 6, however, all boys will become full boarders.

“Cothill Juniors will enable a greater number of younger boys to benefit from all boarding at Cothill has to offer,” said Headmaster, Duncan Bailey.

“Boarding provides boys with highly developed personal skills, such as patience and participation, increased independence and the ability to take advantage of the exceptional opportunities on offer.”

The new policy will be introduced in September 2020
