Leading library security systems provider, D-Tech International, is delighted to announce it has been awarded CHAS accreditation, demonstrating compliance with, and sound management of, current basic health and safety legislation.

D-Tech International develops and supplies high-performance technology products and services for customers around the globe seeking a security/staffing/infrastructure solution to maximise efficiency and minimise losses. Using technologies including electromagnetic (EM), Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), and thermal imaging, D-Tech International provides advanced library control management solutions for public libraries, schools, colleges and universities. Self-service stations, perimeter-based security systems, laptop storage and charging, inventory wands, and people counters are just some of the products D-Tech International supplies to improve the productivity and service delivery of its customers.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) was created to standardise contractor health and safety requirements and ultimately simplify assessment. CHAS is a founding member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), an organisation that aims to reduce financial and labour costs incurred by duplication of health and safety assessment in the supply chain.

James Breakell, UK Managing Director of D-Tech, explains: “D-Tech’s CHAS accreditation is further evidence to our customers that we value and maintain high health and safety standards. It saves time and money, for our potential customers and us, during the procurement process, and once an installation commences, our clients are further assured that we will maintain the high standards they expect from D-Tech International.”
