Just bowling along

A pupil from Buckswood School in East Sussex has been crowned under-25s Sussex Indoor Bowling Champion

Buckswood student Tom Gater (aged 16) was presented with the Jessie Norris Trophy by president Gordon Leaman after winning the under-25s Sussex County Indoor Bowls Association county championship finals. Buckswood headteacher Mark Redsell said: “We are always very proud of our students achievements and the breadth of talent never ceases to amaze me! At Buckswood, we encourage our students to try as many extracurricular activities as they can to build their confidence and discover new skills.”

Tom is also a budding actor and has appeared in the pantomimes at the White Rock over the last number of years.
