Lancing bursar's grand success

School Fee Plan presents Lancing College Prep at Worthing with a cheque for £1,000 following competition win

School Fee Plan, part of Premium Credit Limited, recently presented Lancing College Prep at Worthing with a £1,000 donation after the school’s bursar, Mark Milling, won their ‘scratch and win’ competition at this year’s Independent School’s Bursars Association (ISBA) conference. The conference attracts over 400 senior management staff each year and the themes for 2015 included post-election prospects, economic recovery, safeguarding and inspections.

Lancing College Prep at Worthing were delighted with the cheque, which will go towards replenishing their library’s stock. This is just one of a range of projects planned for the next three years to refresh the buildings and facilities of Lancing College Prep at Worthing, Lancing College Prep at Hove and Lancing College secondary school.

Heather Beeby, the school’s new head, was delighted by the donation: “We’re very grateful to School Fee Plan and to Mark Milling, our bursar, for the cheque presented to us today. We’re halfway through a big refurbishment programme and we’re going to use the money to spend on books for our library. Reading is central for learning and it will be exciting to buy some new titles for the children.”

School Fee Plan enables parents to spread the cost of their school fees over 12 months, whilst the school receives the full payment up front. Gavin Worrall, Key Accounts at School Fee Plan, said of the donation: “At this year’s ISBA conference, we provided a ‘scratch and win’ opportunity to schools and our winner was Mark Milling from Lancing College. We’re really pleased that he’s going to be able to put that to good use. We’re very proud to be part of this industry – we support our schools as often and as much as we can, and this is just another way to do that.”
