Do you want to win £5,000 worth of LED lighting for your Eco-School? Eco-Schools have teamed up with UK Energy Partners to launch the Eco-Schools Energy Efficient Schools Competition. All you have to do is let them know, about your school's most successful energy efficiency project. It’s as simple as that. Your answer could include energy efficient lighting, heating or sensors; or even a behavioural change project within the school. The winning entry will win the top prize, followed by a range of other prizes kindly donated by UK Energy Partners.

An exciting opportunity for all Eco-Schools England members to enter a free competition, to demonstrate your commitment to energy efficiency and to win a selection of valuable prizes for your Eco-School.

Sponsored by UK Energy Partners, the Eco-Schools Energy Efficient Schools Competition is easy to enter.

The competition will run over the 2016-17 academic year over three terms, with a winner at the end of each term, and an overall winner announced in June 2017.

The prizes:

·         An LED lighting upgrade for the overall winning Eco-School

·         Three metering and monitoring systems for the three end-of-term winners

·         Plus 50 energy efficiency surveys for your Eco-School by qualified surveyors to the first 50 valid entrants.

Not an Eco-Schools member?

70% of English schools have taken the plunge – so why not join them? Eco-Schools provide a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. It enhances the curriculum and gets the whole school united behind something important.

What’s more, joining the Eco-Schools programme is completely free and makes tackling sustainable issues manageable and easy for any school, whether you’re a LA nursery, independent, primary school, secondary school or a school with special status.

Once registered, schools will receive regular Eco-Schools newsletters and email bulletins with access to national and regional information, competitions and funding.

The first 50 valid entries will all be eligible for a free energy efficiency survey for your Eco-School, conducted by a qualified energy surveyor from UK Energy Partners.
