‘Outstanding’ nursery launches new facilities
Beech Hall School extends outdoor learning space
The youngest pupils at Beech Hall School are celebrating following the opening of their newly extended outdoor learning environment.
Excited Early Years children have tested out the new outside area in their nursery, which recently welcomed an ‘outstanding’ grade, following an inspection of the nursery facilities.
Nursery pupils are now able to benefit from the additional learning space which features playground equipment including a slide, small climbing wall and steps. An all-weather surface for outdoor educational activities is also included, allowing the children to engage with their environment when learning.
Headmaster James Allen commented: “The children were very excited to try out their new educational area. The newly developed facilities provide them with an inviting, safe space to engage in creative and imaginative activities, whilst aiding their physical development and boosting confidence. It has been recognised in our latest inspection that children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make excellent progress in all areas of learning, something which the extended outdoor space will allow us to continue and develop further.”
