Abercorn School appoints new Head

The Board of Abercorn School has announced that Benedict Dunhill has been appointed as the new Headmaster from September 2015

Benedict will be joining the school, along with his wife Elizabeth, three children and a miniature daschund, following the retirement of Abercorn’s current Headmaster David Morse.

Born and educated in the South East at Caldicott School and Cranleigh School, Benedict completed his formal education with a BA degree in French Language and Literature at University College, London.

After some years working in the City, he became a French teacher at Blundell’s School in Tiverton. This was followed by a move to Worth School where he was a Housemaster before being appointed as Headmaster of Moreton Hall, Suffolk in 2004. From here, Benedict joined Port Regis School, Dorset in 2010. During his tenure there, Benedict led the school through a successful ISI inspection and has continued to position Port Regis as one of the foremost independent boarding schools in the country.
