Beech Hall School pupils, parents and staff recently donned glow sticks, goggles and swimwear for a highly memorable challenge.
The group from the Tytherington-based school swam for up to a mile as part of the open water Neon Swim event, in the magically-lit Dock 9 at MediaCityUK.
A DJ and club-style lighting provided a backdrop for the swimmers, making for a high-energy atmosphere and supporting the event’s emphasis on having fun and enjoying the occasion.
Headmaster at Beech Hall, James Allen, commented: “Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the Neon Swim, and took away with them lasting memories of a personal achievement, and a fabulous night. We are very fortunate to have our own swimming pool at the school; however, swimming in the dark to trendy tunes and lit up by glowsticks was another experience entirely!”
