From Europe to the Far East, international school Concord College showcased its cultural diversity as its students took to the stage performing in traditional costume and on authentic folk instruments. Highlights from the evening included a Bhangra style dance from the Malaysian Society, traditional African dancing, a performance of Korean Samul nori percussion instruments, the Chinese group performing in the style of a Chinese opera and the British Society performing a Scottish Ceilidh.
Concord students enjoyed sharing their vibrant global culture at the Shropshire theatre. The concert attracted an audience of over 600 from Shrewsbury and the wider Shropshire area including VIP guest the Mayor of Shrewsbury and has raised £3000 for local charities.
The concert was also streamed live over the internet for the first time (and the first ever live stream from Theatre Severn) to enable the families of students across the globe to be part of this spectacular evening.
