Teach Meet Differentiate will be taking place at Radnor House School on Monday 15 June from 6-8pm. Teachers from all schools welcome to attend the event, whose aim is to share ideas and best practice in relation to differentiation – the means by which learning is personalised and targeted to ensure the progress of each individual child.
The event is an opportunity for professional learning: key-note speakers will be educational author and speaker Jackie Beere, who has written the popular ‘The Perfect…’ series of teaching books, and Amjad Ali, Twitter ‘super-teacher’ and creator of the ‘Agility Teacher Toolkit’. Confirmed presenters include Martyn Reah, educational blogger and deputy head.
A ‘Teach Meet’ is a relatively informal gathering of teachers designed to ensure that professional learning is accessible and enjoyable. There will be refreshments served before and after the presentations, ensuring that all those attending have a chance to speak to others in what is sometimes called a ‘lonely’ profession, as many teachers spend their time working within their classrooms away from colleagues.
Teachers who would like to attend the event can sign up to give a micro-presentation of three or five minutes in length, ensuring a wide range of thoughts and suggestions will be aired. Others may wish simply to listen and learn, and so can sign up to be part of the audience.
