Bett has changed the dates for its flagship three-day event in London due to the rapid increase of Omicron cases in the UK.
Organisers of the annual event showcasing the best ideas and innovation within education technology have moved the event from its original dates in January to March. The new dates for the event are 23-25 March 2022.
Changes in global travel restrictions are also a reason for these changes, as the event attracts visitors from over 120 countries.
Partners Microsoft, BESA and the UK’s Department for Education have expressed support for the changes.
The event provides the opportunity for the edtech community to come together to share ideas, trade and network surrounding innovation in the education technology sector.
Technology has been a vital part of the education sector’s adaptation to the global pandemic. ‘Create the future’ – the theme for the event – will showcase how technology can be utilised for the benefit of students and teachers in a world recovering from a pandemic.
Bett has expressed their commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of the edtech community and have considered the feelings of audience members, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers when deciding to postpone the event.
Bett events are set to take place in Brasil and Thailand in the summer of next year.
Attendees who had already registered for the London event will automatically be transferred to the new dates. While registration for the new dates is still open.
