Does your school have dental cover?

Accidents can happen at any time, so it's important to have backup, says Denplan

Posted by Stephanie Broad | October 30, 2015 | Health & wellbeing

When it comes to looking after the wellbeing of children in our care, we would all agree that their safety is of paramount importance. However, accidents can happen at any time.

Probably the most common dental injury is a chipped or fractured front tooth, which can be traumatic and painful. That’s why it’s essential a dentist is called right away and that treatment is undertaken quickly.

It’s not just dental accidents that can cause a pupil pain. Toothache, discomfort from broken braces or other orthodontic appliances must be resolved fast. That’s why Denplan have a 24-hour helpline. In the event of any dental accident or discomfort an emergency appointment can be arranged.

We provide member schools with a dental trauma kit for school medical staff to keep on standby for dental emergencies and our representative will visit your school to run a dental trauma training session free of charge.
