A Warwickshire prep school has revealed plans for a new nursery, scheduled to open in time for the 2022/23 academic year.
Little Grange Nursery will be situated on the 90-acre woodland site of Bilton Grange Preparatory School, part of the Rugby School Group, in buildings currently leased to the Rugby Montessori Nursery School (RMNS).
When that arrangement concludes next July, the buildings will undergo a full refurbishment and bespoke equipment fit-out in time for a 31 August opening.
Comprising bright, spacious rooms and easy-flow access to the outdoor learning spaces, Bilton Grange promises that the new nursery will provide an “inspirational environment” for babies from six months to children aged five.
RMNS staff will be invited to work in the new facility, while current parents and children will be offered priority allocation of places.
“I am reassured that my little ones will continue to be cared for by my team and confident Little Grange Nursery will offer them a caring, stimulating environment to continue their educational journey,” said RMNS owner, Jane Garland.
“I will be working very closely with the Little Grange team to help ensure the children’s transfer is as stress-free and seamless as possible.”
Bilton Grange’s plans for a nursery were galvanised by the swift success of The Nest, the school’s early years provision. Established in 2019 and already at capacity, the pre-prep facility recently featured on the eight-strong shortlist for the TES Independent School Awards Pre-Prep School of the Year 2021.
Little Grange will offer a similar quality of care and education, insists Bilton Grange headmaster, Alex Osiatynski.
“We will be ensuring an outstanding team of staff so that, while the children play and learn, they will be safe, nurtured and stimulated,” he said.
“I am delighted we will be welcoming staff from the RMNS team and so pleased to be working alongside Jane to ensure the smooth transition of current parents and children. We have been fortunate to have her high-quality nursery on our site for so long.”
