Fight back against budget cuts: attend the Education Forum

The Education Forum is a special event that will address managing finance and funding under budgetary pressures

Education may be a key battleground in the run-up to the general election this month, but at present cuts are one of the biggest issues facing schools and universities across the UK.

Research released in early April this year by the NUT and ATL unions indicates that 93 per cent of members polled (half were from secondary schools) were ‘pessimistic’ about funding levels going forward.

Furthermore, 76 per cent said their school’s budget had been cut already in 2017, with 73 per cent stating there had been cuts to books and equipment.

All of which means there is huge pressure on schools to spend their procurement budgets extremely carefully. Schools need value for money and partnerships with only the most trusted suppliers in the market.

That’s where the Education Forum comes into play. Taking place on November 20th & 21st 2017 at the Whittlebury Hall Hotel, Northamptonshire, the event is organised specifically for those directly responsible for the purchasing of facilities and technology for education institutions.

Delegates are given a carefully planned itinerary that ensures their time spent at the event is worthwhile – they meet, share and connect with suppliers relevant to their current and forthcoming needs in match-made meetings.

And there are copious learning opportunities available via the seminar programme, which this year is specifically addressing managing finance and funding under budgetary pressures.

Continuing the budgetary theme, the Education Forum is completely free to attend for qualifying professionals.

In short, if you’re a headteacher, head of ICT, head of digital learning, head of curriculum, head of IT or a bursar within primary, secondary, independent, higher or university education, then the companies, contacts and technology you need to take your institution to the next level can be found at the Education Forum.
