May issue of IE Today out now!

Latest independent schools mag is now available to read on our website and app store

All you can eat

Independent schools are known for their longer days and boarding provision, which means a greater responsibility for pupil wellbeing. This month’s special feature is one of our biggest-ever, packed with nutrition advice from experts in the sector.

Elsewhere, we look at outdoor facilities, equal pay and marketing for international schools. Our regular events roundup includes a sneaky peek at what’s on offer at this year’s Telegraph Festival of Education – it’s not too late to book your tickets!

#BoardingBecause

This month we’ve teamed up with the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) to celebrate National Boarding Week from 20-26 June. I want to hear your views on boarding school life – whether it’s the challenges of homesickness, the joys of midnight feasts or the difference you’re making to students’ education.

To take part, tweet to @ie_today using #BoardingBecause and, if 140 characters aren’t enough, send in your blogs by 1 June to be featured on the website during National Boarding Week. I’ll also choose a blog to be featured in the July/August issue of IE magazine.

National Boarding Week is part of the BSA’s Golden Jubilee celebrations – read our Q&A with president Tony Little on page 10 to find out more.
