New head, new role

Chelmsford Catholic independent school New Hall has appointed the first head of its girls’ and boys’ divisions

Suzanna Minnis is to be the first to take on the newly created role of head of girls’ and boys’ divisions at New Hall School. Suzanna will take a leading role in the pastoral care of students in years 7-11, with a focus on academic, personal, moral and faith development.

Katherine Jeffrey, principal at New Hall School, said: “We are delighted that Suzanna will be joining the senior leadership team in this important new pastoral role. At New Hall, we put great emphasis on the personal and academic development of each child and we believe this appointment is further evidence of this commitment. Having been dedicated to the care of New Hall students in her role as tutor, head of year and head of upper school (girls’ division) over the past seven years, we have no doubt that she will enjoy great success in this new role.”

Suzanna is also a teacher of art and a public examination board examiner for Edexcel art and design at GCSE Level. As a practising artist, she will continue to specialise in digital image manipulation and film, fine art and photography.
