Revolutionising and empowering the classroom

Soundtrap is an online collaborative studio, where you can create and record music, podcasts, language exercises and much more

Used by teachers across the globe in subjects ranging from music to nature science to engineering, it combines 21st century skills and STEAM – ticking all the boxes of modern education.

We are, of course, very honoured to be a finalist in this year’s Bett Awards. With 1 million users in 2000, and about 70% of our users in the US, it is especially exciting – as a Swedish company – to be recognised on European ground.

If we were to say why we were nominated, the core would be our ambition to democratise and empower high-quality collaborative music making for many people. We are convinced that being creative and collaborative through audio is a key skill which is crucial to learn at a young age, preparing pupils for the 21st century. We foster this capability.

We aim to help students reach their full potential and include them in a creative community where magic happens.

In everything we do, we focus on the user. Soundtrap should always be easy to use and accessible everywhere where creativity happens – both inside and outside the classroom walls. We listen to the passionate teachers and students using Soundtrap, and we are inspired by and try to understand what they do and are longing for. We are part of this creative revolution together with our users and show a genuine empathy and desire to make them succeed.

We are already strong in the English-speaking education world, and are now expanding to several more countries with translations of the platform.

In short – we revolutionise and empower the classroom – together!
