Saint Martin’™s girls win IT challenge

Two teams of girls from Saint Martin’s School entered the British Computer Society’s Challenge IT 2014, and came away as winners

Two teams of year 9 girls from Saint Martin’s School in Solihull entered the British Computer Society’s Challenge IT 2014 under the names of Black Eye and Lightening 360.

Margaret Low from Warwick University and Irene Glendinning from Coventry University presented both teams with certificates, congratulating them on their computer controlled Lego projects and technical expertise.

Helena Scott, Neha Sharma, Mia Willis and Lucie Winn formed team Black eye, who were announced as the winners of the Robotics and Control category.

Team Lightening 360, consisted of Manjot Kaur, Francesca Pattinson and Fran Pearson, who were named joint winners in the Best Overall Entrant category, as voted by the other entrants.
