St Nicholas Preparatory School has announced new initiatives set out by Headmistress Jill Walker to enhance specialist teaching at the school. The school has appointed a Head of Pre-Prep and Heads of Maths, Sport, Humanities, Music and Drama, adding to the current specialist French, English and Art teachers. Specialist teaching brings a dynamic, invigorating pace to the subjects taught and ignites a passion in early learners.
The Head of Maths, Melanie Lewis said: “By being taught by a maths specialist, I believe children develop a deeper understanding, one that is underpinned by my passion for the subject. It is a joy to be part of the development of the curriculum at St. Nicholas Prep.”
St. Nicholas continues to grow and evolve with the needs of its parents and pupils: “Parents want the best for their children and it’s our job to stay ahead of the curve and provide a first class education for our pupils,” explained Jill Walker.
“I am passionate about the wealth of opportunities a prep school education offers and believe that education of the highest quality should develop the whole child. St Nicholas is committed to delivering a broad and academically rigorous curriculum, which enables the potential of each child in its care, to be realised,” continued Jill. “I am looking forward to leading this vibrant school community in the next stage of its development.”
