Welcome to the technology issue!

This month, we have leaped headfirst into the world of education technology to find out how independent schools are using the latest innovations to fuel learning.

Where do I begin with technology? It’s ever-changing and it has the potential to completely transform the education sector as we know it. At the Global Education & Skills Forum in Dubai I heard from world-class experts about what the future, specifically 2030, could look like. I was optimistic by the predictions and you can read my full review of the event on page 30.

The tech conversation also continues on page 13 with our special report. This time, it looks at the next big thing in education technology and whether independent schools are open to embracing the new technologies. I was pleased to hear that many schools are being won over by technology as they are seeing its benefits for pupils and staff.

Elsewhere, we have some special insight on British international schools on pages 34-37, which we will build on in our upcoming international issue! Don’t miss the article about school uniform on page 37, as Sally Jones investigates how it is translating overseas.
