OCR’s Rob Leeman discusses teaching the new computer science curriculum in Codio’s second ‘Ask the Experts’ video

Codio has released the second in its series of short videos which provide expert comment on the best ways to teach computer science and coding in schools.

Episode Two features Rob Leeman, a former Head of ICT at Swavesey Village College, in Cambridgeshire, and now exam board OCR’s Subject Specialist for Computer Science and ICT.

 

As one of the writers of the new draft GCSE Computer Science specification, Rob provides top tips for teaching the new GCSE specification and  expert insight into how teachers can deliver the course content in the most engaging and beneficial way. He also talks about the many technology challenges facing Computing teachers and how these can be overcome with cloud-based programming platforms.
