O’Neills challenged themselves 12 months ago and decided to offer educational establishments and clubs female-fit leisure and training wear, to link seamlessly with their bespoke teamwear products. Within a short period of time, two Vitality Netball Superleague clubs, in Celtic Dragons and Team Bath, decided to link up with O’Neills.
The clubs, along with Wales Netball worked with O’Neills to create a new Puretec fabric and dress design that has now been supplied to schools such as Bristol Grammar School, Godolphin and Latymer, Kingswood School, Lancing College, Oxford High School and Royal High School Bath.
Bristol Grammar School were so impressed with the fabric that they asked if the fabric could be used for hockey shirts and skorts. Within a couple of weeks they had samples and three weeks later, they received their kit.
Being able to supply T-shirts, polos, hoodies, track tops, track pants, shorts, gilets and padded jackets in both unisex and female fits has made a huge difference with sports departments recognising O’Neills can offer something many suppliers don’t. Bespoke teamwear? Four to five weeks. Leisure and training wear? Three weeks.
O’Neills offers the same fantastic design service to educational establishments as professional clubs and with regional sales offices/showrooms in Somerton, Somerset and Leigh, Greater Manchester, customers are able to book a meeting to view all the garments available and design their kit.
But let’s not forget the boys. Supplying top clubs and international teams is part of O’Neills’ DNA. A Premiership Rugby Union club will join the O’Neills team next season, whilst Brumbies in Australia are a global brand in their second year of contract.
Wooden Spoon, rugby’s children’s charity, are also supplied by O’Neills with shirts worn at world record-breaking height on Mount Everest. St Helens and Warrington Wolves are two top Rugby League clubs to be supplied by O’Neills.
A number of England-based football clubs are looking at the Wycombe Wanderers FC model and discussing supply possibilities. Cricket Ireland now have Test Match status and O’Neills One Day kit is really popular.
Whether its tour kit, staff kit, teamwear or whole school supply, O’Neills, with two UK regional sales offices/showrooms and manufacturing facilities in Strabane, Northern Ireland, is a real option for every school.
