Conifers appoints primary educator Fiona Allen as new reception teacher

Conifers, an independent day school for 2-to-13-year-olds in Midhurst, West Sussex, is delighted to announce that they have welcomed Fiona Allan as their new reception class teacher.

Having previously taught pupils at schools in Surrey, Fiona is a primary educator with a degree and a Primary PGCE from Exeter University – where she was awarded the Ted Wragg Award for being an Outstanding Teacher Trainee.

Fiona has also spent a lot of time teaching abroad, including in Hong Kong where she taught young children English, Drama and Music.

Warm welcome from Conifers

Fiona Allan commented: “I couldn’t have wished for a better start to my time at Conifers and I am very thankful to all the staff and children who have given me such a warm welcome.

“My aim is to foster a love of learning and curiosity about the world by having a fun and focused classroom. I am passionate about ensuring that children are given the best start to their education, and I see the opportunity to develop those building blocks in Reception as a privilege.”

Emma Fownes, head at Conifers, said: “We are delighted to introduce Fiona Allan as our new reception class teacher at Conifers. Fiona is a talented primary educator and is already very well-liked by the staff and students, making her a perfect fit to deliver a challenging and engaging curriculum for all our Reception pupils.

“We are very excited to see how her reception class continues to grow, thrive and have fun during her lessons.”
