Bolton School boys continue fun run tradition

The annual fun run at Bolton School is expected to have raised thousands of pounds for a number of good causes

Aliens, Batman, a busby-topped member of the Queen’s Guard and a handful of bananas were among the competitors in this year’s fun run at Bolton School.

More than 200 pupils from Park Road, the Junior Boys’ School, took part in the annual event, following the completion of end-of-term exams.

They were joined by teaching staff clad in jubilee-echoing colours and who, like the pupils, worked in tag teams as they attempted to complete as many laps around the Levels as possible.

While sponsorship money has yet to be fully collected, totals accumulated in previous years suggest that thousands of pounds will have been raised for the four named charities: #TeamSeas, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Cancer Research UK, and the Make a Wish Foundation.
