Dynamics 365 and the Future of Cloud Operations

Cloud computing has changed the ways in which day-to-day communications and operations take place

Posted by Joe Lawson-West | August 21, 2017 | Technology

Cloud computing has changed the ways in which day-to-day communications and operations take place. Whether referring to dedicated CRM software or the ability to collaborate with other stakeholders who may be located halfway around the world, the impact of this technology is profound. It is therefore a good idea to take a look at a handful of emerging trends as well as how bundles such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 are able to cater to the educational community.

The Changing Face of Cloud Computing

There are several emerging trends which merit a closer look. Many analysts feel that one of the most prominent is the use of multiple clouds as opposed to a single portal. In fact, it has been shown that 85 per cent of all users now employ more than one gateway.

Another interesting point is that security and expertise have become the top priorities for many businesses. Both SSL and TSL encryption are now taking precedence over other factors such as ease of access and storage space. As more entities become integrated into the cloud environment, these concerns will likely increase.

The Trending Concept of the Hybrid Cloud

The future of cloud operations is likely to focus upon the use of the hybrid cloud. In other words, users will employ both public and private sources. Specific functions within an organisation are allocated to each sector based upon unique requirements. This can help to streamline internal processes while simultaneously guaranteeing access to critical information when it is required. Proprietary programs such as Dynamics 365 have taken a prominent role here, as they can be easily implemented across multiple channels. Whether referring to a standard CRM template or more advanced operations, the deployment of hybrid clouds should become even more commonplace in the near future.

The Emergence Within the Educational Environment

Cloud computing is likewise changing the face of education and the dissemination of information. This is largely due to the fact that distance learning is much more streamlined. Not only can users communicate with one another within a real-time framework, but it is much easier to share documents and to collaborate with others on large projects. The fact that all information is stored within a virtual environment also signifies that the chances of data becoming corrupted or lost are also dramatically reduced.

Over the past ten years, the adoption of cloud-based software has outstripped many other forms of virtual storage and communications. The future looks very bright indeed and there is no doubt that this cloud has a definite silver lining.
