Padworth College has reported a marked increase in the rise of top grades, with 52% of all entries awarded A*-B at A level and 77% of entries graded A*-C at GCSE.

The results are consistent with the 90% overall A level pass rate and 100% GCSE pass rate that was achieved last year by students at the school.

Amongst the highest A level achievers was Iris Qu, who secured an A* and two A’s, Shubham Malik who achieved three A grades and a B and Edward Xu who secured an A*, an A and a B. Due to such a high standard of grades, students at Padworth College have been offered places to study at leading Universities, which include UCL, Bath, Reading and Leeds.

At GCSE level, there were some very strong individual performances from students, most notably, Atul Vladamani and Sylvia Makenga, who despite only having joined the College a year ago, between them notched up four A* and eleven A grades.

These results reflect the hard work and commitment of our students and their teachers, and the environment that we have created, which makes is highly conducive to learning - John Aguilar, Principal

The Principal, John Aguilar, commented “These results reflect the hard work and commitment of our students and their teachers, and the environment that we have created, which makes is highly conducive to learning. We study in small groups and encourage our students to work in ways that suit them which has created some super results. All are to be congratulated”.

There is a strong international spirit within the school, where students from all over the world are welcomed to study. This adds to the impressiveness of the results achieved, says Aguilar, as for many students, English is not their first language.
