Beech Hall School's new senior prefects serving brunch to pupils

Adrenaline-fueled induction for Beech Hall senior prefects

Tytherington-based Beech Hall School put its new senior prefects through their paces with a strenuous 36-hour action-packed stint in North Wales

Zip wiring and various water based activities were on the agenda for the 15 and 16-year-olds as they challenged themselves to the full, ready to take on their new highly responsible positions at Beech Hall School.

The prefects’ first major role will be to lead the ‘Beech Hall Scone Bake Off’ – which will see all school pupils tasked with baking scones for the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on 29th September.

Other duties include assisting with the daily brunch service to the pupils, ensuring fellow students are getting their fair share of delicious fresh fruits and energy-providing healthy carbs to keep them going throughout the busy school day.

Following a pupil election and then a second stage teacher judging procedure, Louis Brocklehurst (15), has been named Head Boy of Beech Hall School, and will lead the team of prefects.

Louis, in outlining his vision for his term of office, explains: “I was so surprised at my election, and am really looking forward to using my role to make a difference to the pupils whilst they are at the school.

“I want to develop the school’s outdoors focus, particularly with continued improvements to the Beech Hall Forest School, which is very popular.

“Also our chickens are a big part of the school now, and I want to push for more livestock, and other animals.”

Beech Hall School is a non-selective independent school for children aged from six months to 16 years old. It is situated in a stunning 16-acre site with two listed buildings, playing fields, and a swimming pool.

Part of the Riverston Group, Beech Hall is committed to providing a child-centred education which focuses on every individual child’s strength and gives each one the opportunity to achieve a wide variety of academic, sporting and extra-curricular goals.

Bespoke, quality teaching is at the heart of Beech Hall’s core values and the recent renovation has made the personalised learning approach all the more achievable.
