In a recent ministerial statement, Nick Gibb has officially released final subject content for GCSEs and A-levels, in order to “match the qualifications used in the best education systems in the world.”

At A-level, our reforms aim to ensure that they prepare students for undergraduate study and the world of work.”

The changes include more in-depth study and practical work. The courses affected by the changes are as follows:

GCSE

  • Astronomy
  • Business
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Geology

AS and A-levels

  • Environmental science
