Two of Oakham School’s footballers were thrilled to be selected to play for the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) National U18 Representative squad.
Alicia Schwarzenbach and Penny Skipper, who are both sport scholars at Oakham, played two games for the ISFA U18 team during the half term break. Alicia scored in both of the matches in which they played.
Both players have chalked up a number of accolades over the past year, having previously been selected for regional and national ISFA squads. They were also part of Oakham’s winning 1st XI squad, who were last year crowned national Independent Schools Football champions.
Oakham football coach, Rob Johnson, said: “It is clear to all who watch these two play that they are natural talents, the likes of which you rarely come across. The whole Oakham squad continues to enjoy their success and benefit from their generous guidance on the training field and in matches.”
