The new tablet has been designed to address the unique needs of classrooms, specifically durability, manageability and access to digital learning resources.

It integrates with Google Play for Education, which provides access to an ever-growing selection of teacher-approved content, and allows the purchase of apps and content via a school PO with no credit card required. With its NFC technology, the Tab 4 Education allows administrators to set up an entire classroom of tablets in minutes, rather than hours.

The dual band Wi-Fi ensures that all students in a classroom are able to access the Internet at once. Front and rear-facing cameras (3 megapixel rear, 1.3 megapixel front) encourage creative learning possibilities, and Bluetooth 4.0 allows the convenient use of wireless accessories. Work can be printed directly to a Samsung printer via the Samsung Mobile Print app. The Tab 4 Education features a shock-absorbing, rugged silicone case and the durable Gorilla Glass, making it ideal for life in and out of the classroom.

Graham Long, Vice President of Business Enterprise Team, Samsung UK and Ireland, said: “Samsung has always strived to provide the best technology and solutions that meet the needs of our users. We are really excited to have launched the Tab 4 Education, which combines product innovation with our understanding of the education sector’s needs. Technology can help to create interactive and collaborative learning environments, which facilitate even greater interaction between students and teachers.”
