UB March edition out now

The March edition of University Business magazine, the edtech issue, is now available to download

Posted by Rebecca Paddick | February 18, 2016 | Events

In the latest issue of University Business magazine, the spotlight is on Keele University, founded more than 60 years ago on the belief that it met the demands of a new kind of society, economy and world, its principles resonate now more than ever.

Also in this issue, we find out whether university libraries are still meeting the modern-day students needs. Around the world, the academic library has changed its image no longer is it a dusty place with dog-eared books and a tutting librarian, but a lively hub of discovery and creativity that universities are proud of.

We ask the University of Central Lancashire’s newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mike Thomas, what he’s got in store for UCLan over the coming months.

We also look at the world of educational technology. From e-learning to g-learning, BYOD to WYOD, an awareness of commonly used terms can help cut through the confusion, so we’ve brought you the edtech glossary – a go-to guide to help with those tricky acronyms.

If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve got updates from ASRA, CUBO and VWV, as well as some top opinion pieces from the University of Bath’s Andy Dunne, and the Russell Partnership’s David Russell.

Every issue of UB is packed with the latest news including:

*Campus services and new developments

*People and appointments
*Key association updates
*Opinions and views
*HE catering
*Education technology
*Events and diary
