Charles Fillingham, currently Deputy Head at City of London School for Boys, will be joining Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park, as Headmaster in January 2016. Charles Fillingham has taught in both the independent and state sectors, in single sex girls’ and boys’ schools and in a co-educational school. He is also a trained independent schools’ inspector and sits on the Governing Council of the ASCL (Association of School and College Leaders).
The Chairman of the Council for the Francis Holland Schools Trust, Mrs Marie Winckler, said: “The Governors are aware that appointing the school’s first male Head is a particularly historic step in this the school’s centenary year in its Ivor Place site. We feel it is in the school’s tradition of responsiveness to change and that in this tradition we have in Charles Fillingham a Head who fully intends to continue to deliver education and enjoyment with the best interests of girls at its heart.”
