Warwick hosts Bond cars for engineering event

Cars from new Bond film, Spectre, were on display together for the first time at Warwick School

The Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75 featured in the new Bond film, Spectre were at Warwick School recently. This is the first time both cars have been seen together and drew crowds of fascinated pupils when they were on display as part of an event hosted by Warwick School to encourage pupils to consider a career in engineering. Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin attended to give an inspiring talk.

Forty-seven guests, consisting of parents, former pupils and local businesses working in varying sectors of engineering took part in the event, which offered pupils the opportunity to network with a number of engineering professionals. Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, Triumph, Severn Trent, BAE Systems and many other local companies gave their time to chat to and advise pupils.

As well as admiring the cars, students were able to network with engineering professionals

Caty Oates, Head of Careers at Warwick School, said: “At a time when there is a shortage of young people entering the world of engineering this event is particularly relevant, however Warwick School is committed to giving pupils support and guidance in any career path our pupils may be interested in. This is the second careers networking event the school has hosted and plans to offer more of these events, in a wide variety of sectors in the future.”
