At Double First, engagement is at the heart of everything we do, by allowing schools to take control of communications between parents, pupils and staff. This year, to celebrate the end of our 30th Anniversary, we are inviting pupils to engage with us by taking part in the Engage Pupil Takeover.
The Pupil Takeover is a competition in which pupils aged between 3-18 in independent or international education are invited to design a creative piece of artwork for our Engage MIS. The competition will be hosted in two categories, Preparatory (3-11) and Senior (11-18). Our favourite design from each category will receive a £100 Amazon voucher, along with a certificate and framed print of their work. The two runners up in each category will receive a £50 Amazon voucher, along with a certificate and framed print of their work. The two best designs will also feature within the Engage MIS, allowing pupils to play a part in our creative software development!
The Preparatory Takeover – Homework Buddies
For pupils aged between 3-11 we would like them to design their very own homework buddy. A Homework Buddy is companion that can be a helpful reminder of the important things to do each week. They can be anything from an animal, a person, or a friendly talking object to give a helping hand. The Homework Buddy can be designed on an A4 piece of paper, or on the computer.
The Senior Takeover – Splash Screens
For pupils aged between 11-18 we would like them to design a ‘Splash Screen’, which is the first screen you see when a program is loading or the user is logging in. We’d like the design to be something creative and engaging for our teachers, parents and pupils to see when they log into the Engage software.
The brief is simple, we’d like to see what the word ‘Engage’ means to pupils, whilst thinking creatively, innovatively and culturally. The artwork can be designed on a A4 piece of paper, or on a computer. Our favourite design will have the chance to be featured on our software, website and social media. The closing date is the 29th June so spread the word for the opportunity to engage.
