Hurry – free book map offer for schools!

Dorothy, a UK based studio, is giving away free Book Maps to schools across the country with aim of encouraging reading

On 22 October 2014, Dorothy is launching a national campaign, The Big Book Map Giveaway, offering 500 free copies of the studio’s popular Book Map to schools in the UK.

Dorothy, founded in 2010, produces conceptual prints, artworks and home accessories that are sold and exhibited internationally.

The company’s own love of books began in the classroom and the campaign is their way of saying thanks to the many teachers whose enthusiasm for the written word inspired them when they were at school.

By giving away 500 Book Maps to teachers, Dorothy aims to share its love of literature with a younger audience. Book Map will make an inspiring addition to the classroom, encouraging pupils to explore its fictional streets, hunting out much loved novels and searching for new reads.

Featuring the titles of over 600 books from the history of English Literature (and a few favourites from further afield), Dorothy’s popular Book Map is a fun and engaging print. It features timeless novels by the likes of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters, children’s favourites by Michael Morpurgo, JK Rowling and Suzanne Collins, as well as classroom classics such as Mansfield Park, Wuthering Heights and Animal Farm

Dorothy’s Book Map retails for £25, but 500 copies will be given away for free to the first 500 teachers that apply. The company is also calling on all parents, pupils and literature lovers to share news of the giveaway, via the twitter hashtag #bookmapgiveaway, so that it can reach as many teachers and schools as possible.
