The Stockport-based specialists in education furniture design, manufacture and installation are designing several rooms including science labs, a large food technology classroom and an ICT suite to sit in a new build development.
Innova were chosen ahead of other leading manufacturers following a competitive selection process and will be working with building contractors Quinn London and award-winning Architects Lee Evans Partnership to complete the project.
The new build development, which will unite two existing parts of the school, will include three dedicated science labs designed using Innova’s Hot Corners design concept.
The Hot Corners concept creates a flexible learning environment that addresses the need to provide both a working classroom and practical laboratory within the same space.
The brief for Dulwich Prep London also includes a science prep room, office and chemical store, a design and technology workshop, and office space.
Innova Director Melanie Laing said: “We’re delighted to be working with Quinn London and Lee Evans Partnership on such a significant project for Dulwich Prep London.
“The school is very forward thinking and they were keen to ensure their technology areas were central to the new development.
“Our installations for the school will echo this philosophy by using the very latest in education design and materials to create flexible learning spaces which will complement the look of the new building.
‘We’re looking forward to being able to provide the School with first-class facilities which will benefit both teachers and students.”
Innova will begin work on the installations at Dulwich Prep London in June, with a projected completion date of the end of August.
