iPads up for grabs

3P Learning and the Royal Society of Chemistry have teamed up to launch the online Chemical Reaction Challenge

Funded by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills, British Science Week runs from 13 to 22 March. As part of this, 3P Learning and the Royal Society of Chemistry have teamed up to offer three secondary students competing in their online Chemical Reaction Challenge the chance to win an iPad for themselves and a free site licence for IntoScience, the interactive digital science resource, for their school. British Science Week (BSW, formerly National Science and Engineering Week) is a 10-day programme of science, technology, engineering and maths events and activities across the UK aimed at people of all ages.

Students will compete against others entering this multi-player chemistry quiz, set against the clock. Aimed at key stage three students and set to both engage and test the knowledge of chemistry students nationwide, the challenge features a wide range of questions, validated by the Royal Society of Chemistry, with some newly compiled questions devised especially for British Science Week.

Participating schools will be provided with a customised report analysing students’ strengths and weaknesses across different areas of the chemistry curriculum.

Schools can register now at The Chemical Reaction Challenge. High-achieving students and schools will be presented with certificates of achievement. All participating schools will enjoy free, open access to IntoScience alongside the challenge.

Winners will be announced in early April.
