National aquatics award for diver

Plymouth College’s Victoria Vincent has been honoured with an outstanding achievement award by the Amateur Swimming Association

The inaugural ASA Awards ceremony was held in Birmingham to celebrate the commitment and achievement of those involved in aquatics. As well as Victoria (13), fellow Plymouth diver Matthew Dixon also received an award.

Victoria, who trains with Plymouth Diving, was the youngest member of Team England in this summer’s Commonwealth Games. She secured her place on the national team after winning the 10m platform title at the British Diving Championships.

“I am over the moon to get this award,” she said. “It is the perfect finish to a really amazing year.”
