New Head of Rydal Penrhos Prep School appointed

Rydal Penrhos has announced an exciting change to its leadership structure at their prep school site.

Alison Hind, who has previously held the role of deputy head, will now assume resume the role of Head of Rydal Penrhos Prep School effect from the start of the academic year in September.

The popular figure has been at the heartbeat of the thriving facility for a number of years and has taken on a more prominent role in the running of the prep school since the departure of Headmaster Roger McDuff last summer.

Her tireless efforts and contribution has been recognised with a well-deserved promotion, where she will be working closely with Senior School Headmaster Simon Smith in continuing to enforce the ‘one school’ ethos throughout all areas of Rydal Penrhos.

Simon Smith, said: “Alison has shown exemplary care, management and vision for the prep school and I have certainly appreciated her day to day oversight of the pupils and staff; something also highlighted in our outstanding Good Schools Guide review last term. In recognition of this and the governors’ confidence in Alison we have decided that she will be promoted to Head of Rydal Penrhos Prep School.”

“Alison will continue to have ‘one school’ responsibilities which include safeguarding (including training of staff), transition from Years 6 to 7 and membership of the school’s senior leadership team,” continued Simon. “Alison will, with my full support and oversight, be the Head of the Prep School and responsible for its leadership and management in the coming years. This is not only a deserved promotion but also a recognition of our faith that she is the right person to raise standards even further for our younger pupils.”
