New home for St. Nicholas Preparatory School

The Kensington institution will also boast a new name, Prince’s Gardens Preparatory School

Planning permission has been agreed for Kensington-based St. Nicholas Preparatory School’s new premises, which are set to include state-of-the-art science labs, music and art studios, and a maker space.

Along with the new site comes a new name, Prince’s Gardens Preparatory School, reflecting its location opposite Prince’s Gardens. The school will retain direct access to its current garden space, as well as Hyde Park, when it opens its doors in September 2020.

“This is such a tremendous opportunity, which takes us into a new era and places us firmly in the academic hub of London,” said headmistress, Jill Walker. “To this end, our curriculum will draw on our unrivalled proximity to open outdoor spaces, as well as world-renowned museums and galleries. These will serve as fantastic stimuli for inspirational, independent and collaborative learning projects, to which the children will be exposed across each term and which we know they will undoubtedly relish.”
