Hulme Hall Grammar School has announced their new headmaster is to be the current Deputy Head at St Bedes College, Dean Grierson
The Governors formally announced the appointment following a rigorous interview process to find a candidate that will take the school into the next phase of its history.
Tim Lowe, Chair of Governors, said: “We are delighted that Dean has accepted the position and feel that he embraces the family values of the school. His vision for moving forward sits comfortably with the ethos of the school and we are excited to be entering a new chapter.”
Dean began his career as a Teacher of Economics and Business Studies in 1996 and has since embraced the pastoral side of teaching becoming Head of Year in both KS3 and KS4. He brings ten years of senior leadership experience to the role including seven years as Deputy Head.
Whilst in his current position, Dean has helped to deliver the marketing strategy and seen the school grow to new strengths. He is hoping his experience will enable him to replicate the success at his previous establishment and grow Hulme Hall in its new site in Stockport.
“I am very proud and excited to have been appointed the new Headmaster of Hulme Hall Grammar School and to have been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the school on the next phase of its growth and development,” said Dean.
He continued: “When visiting the school, I have been impressed with the dedication of the staff and have witnessed the warm, caring atmosphere that provides each child with the best possible opportunity to develop academically and as individuals.”
Dean will be working closely with the team at Hulme Hall over the next academic term to ensure a smooth transition before taking up his new position in January 2019.In the meantime, like so many in the country, he will be enjoying a summer of football and cricket!
