Saturday 22 September was a “momentous” day for Scarisbrick Hall School. For the first time ever, it competed in a block Saturday morning fixture, playing rugby and netball against Liverpool College and The Grange. The school “firmly believes sporting excellent and mass participation are not mutually exclusive” and so was “delighted to provide over 70 students with the opportunity to compete on a Saturday morning”.
“Sport has been a longstanding tradition on Saturday mornings amongst many independent schools,” it said, “and due to Scarisbrick Hall’s significant growth and the popularity of additional sport fixtures, the time was right to provide the opportunity for our own students to take part.
“It really was a day of celebration, with team spirit, camaraderie and fun all on display. This development truly cements the foundations for a great sporting programme here at the school.”
