Senior maths success for Pitsford School

Pitsford pupils celebrate achievements in UK Mathematics Trust challenge

Pupils at Pitsford School recently achieved four golds, one silver and five bronzes in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Senior Maths Challenge. Over 82,000 pupils from across the UK returned scripts for the Senior Maths Challenge with the top 10% receiving a gold certificate, the next 20% silver and the next 30% bronze.

One of the pupils receiving a certificate was Evans Rozario, who was awarded Best in Lower Sixth. Sixth former, Tingru Chen, was awarded Best in Upper Sixth and Best in School.

Pitsford School’s Head of Maths, Callum Stoner, commented: “I am very pleased with the pupils’ performance in this year’s Challenge. They are competing against the best mathematicians from over 2,000 UK schools, so to achieve a certificate of any grade is fantastic.”

The Senior Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and aimed at those in years 13 and below.
