The personal touch

Looking to invest in sporting equipment? The Sports & Leisure Facilities Forum offers an opportunity to meet suppliers on a 1-to-1 basis

The Sports & Leisure Facilities Forum is a unique event where those making decisions about purchasing for sporting establishments and institutions can meet with suppliers and solution provides. The event is held for one day only and takes place, this year, on 26 June at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in the Madjeski Stadium in Reading, Berkshire.

Sports Purchasing professionals from University of Nottingham, Leisure Connection, 1610 Leisure Trust, Luton Hoo Hotel Golf and Spa, Exeter City Council, Wiltshire Council, University of Portsmouth, Oxford University, Canterbury College, Nottingham Trent University are amongst some of the high-profile delegates who have confirmed their attendance, and service providers Precor, S & C Slatter, CFM Ltd, Collinson Plc, Escape Fitness, Rhino Turf, DFC are once again returning to the event, with many more attendees signed up for a full day of business meetings and networking.

Forum Events sales director Sarah Hendy puts the The Sports & Leisure Facilities Forum’s continuing success down to the high caliber of attendees. “From both the delegate and supplier perspective, we ensure every attendee gets the most from the event,” she says. “Delegates attend knowing that they will only meet with supplier companies they have requested and, in turn, the suppliers are aware that their meetings are matched with delegates who have an avid interest in the products or services they are promoting.”

Comments from those attending previous events have been very positive. “Another excellent event, met some great suppliers and I will be following up when I get back to the club! Excellent event!” said a representative of Accrington Stanley FC, while a delegate from London health and fitness centre The Third Space enthused: “I had a fantastic time, and found the event extremely useful – having gone to FIBO, LIW and FILEX (Sydney) many times over the years, it was the first time I had been to a summit with the one-on-one meeting type format, and I found it hugely effective, and have already been in touch with some of those I spoke with!”

Delegate registration for the 2014 Sports & Leisure Facilities Forum is totally complimentary and includes a networking lunch, personalized itinerary, industry-related seminars and refreshments throughout the day.
