Trinity student wins scholarship to Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

As well as training at RMAS, Max Finch will be considered for sponsorship to attend university

A sixth former at Croydon’s Trinity School, Max Finch, has won a scholarship to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).

As well as training at RMAS, Finch will be considered for sponsorship to attend university. He hopes to go on to study engineering at Harper Adams University.

Training on the scholarship lasts for 44 weeks, focusing on military and leadership skills, as well as demanding exercises in the UK and overseas.

Finch has been a member of the Trinity Combined Cadets Force since 2014, and has also completed the bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

On receiving the news, Finch said: “I am delighted and honoured to receive this offer. My time at Trinity has taught me to trust in my own ability so that, when up against those far older than myself, I never gave up. I look forward to the challenges ahead.”
