The Loretto Golf Academy has come a long way since its inception in 2002 and now a film has been made which goes some way to reveal its success and meteoric rise. The film gives unrivalled access behind the scenes and focusses on the beginning and development of the academy, its successes and opportunities, the academy’s successes and opportunities and the ‘pathway’ programme for young golfers from the age of five.
With golf lessons delivered to over 260 pupils between the ages of five to 18 every week, the Loretto Golf Academy has continued to develop its programme and has firmly established itself as one of Scotland’s leading centres for golf development.
Based at the Loretto School in Musselburgh – Scotland’s oldest boarding school and one of the UK’s leading independent schools – the academy has attracted many talented golfers from Scotland, England, Europe and around the world. The academy recently opened a state-of-the-art indoor golf centre which includes a main practice area with chipping, pitching and putting as well as two designated teaching studios with Sam Putt Lab, Trackman and video analysis. Craigielaw and Archerfield Golf Clubs are used by pupils. The academy employs four fulltime PGA professionals.
